Director, Public Relations

To qualify for the PR Director position, you must have a BS/BA in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related discipline and ten (10) years experience. You must also have the ability to build relationships with top tier reporters and industry influencers and know how to reach target audiences both on and offline. 

The PR Director devises strategies to gain exposure for ChangeUp in the retail/design industry; promotes our services, ideas, and thought leadership; collaborates with our leadership and business-development teams to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet ChangeUp’s business objectives; and manages resources to create content for press releases, bylined articles, speeches, and social media campaigns.  The PR Director will also provide content and editorial oversight to ensure that produced materials are consistent with our brand voice and style.  The ideal candidate will manage and develop editorial calendars and workflows to ensure deadlines for delivery of content are set, communicated, and met; develop a media relations strategy; and maintain an understanding of industry trends affecting clients and key business partners (to make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy).
