Environmental Designer

ChangeUp has an exciting opportunity for a mid to senior-level Environmental Designer!  ChangeUp works with dynamic companies to enhance their performance through outstanding brand experiences.  We have an employee-centric culture (including a flexible work policy and generous holiday schedule), and we provide a full benefits package.  We work hard and play hard in a highly-collaborative, team-based environment!

To qualify for the Environmental Design position, you must have a BFA/BS in Environmental Design and a minimum of 3 years experience in branding/interior/retail design.   Expertise in the following programs is also required:  Adobe suite, Illustrator (with CAD tools plugin), InDesign, and Sketchup (with Podium plugin). The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the latest trends and their role within retail and commercial environments, possess a strong understanding of finishes and furniture (and their application), and be able to provide “big ideas” and innovative thinking.

The Environmental Designer is a primary project team member who takes ownership over discipline-specific work on projects with increasing knowledge and sensitivity to the contributions of other disciplines. They consistently create complex, original design concepts, and oversee and coordinate production of deliverables. The Environmental Designer also collaborates frequently with other departments (i.e. Strategy, Architecture, Documentation) to ensure project success. The Environmental Designer contributes to the cultivation of client relationships while building trust as an advisor in their discipline.

We are looking for a professional with passion for what they do, and a desire to see their work come to life for some of the best-known brands in the retail and restaurant industry.
